Von Wafer

Wafer will provide the Celtics with a three-point threat off the bench, but his role is expected to be too limited to help in fantasy. The 25-year-old shooting guard has averaged 6.2 points in 109 NBA games.

Wafer showed the Nuggets he could fill it up during the Summer averaging over 24 points in five games. With J.R. Smith almost consistently in George Karl's doghouse it would appear that Wafer has an excellent shot at stealing some minutes as the primary back-up behind Allen Iverson at SG. However, even if Wafer does win that job he'll be a fringe prospect at best even in deep leagues because he'll primarily be launching 3-pointers and doing little else.

Wafer is projected to shuffle between the Lakers and the D-League, and should therefore not warrant any fantasy consideration this year.

Wafer, the 39th overall pick, had some attitude issues at Florida State which damaged his draft stock. The former Seminole has a nice stroke from beyond the arc and could factor into the triangle offense because of his sharp shooting.
